FAQ'S - Tint, Henna, Lamination

How long does the tint last on the brows and hair?

The duration of eyebrow tint on hair and skin can vary depending on several factors, including individual hair growth, skin type, and aftercare.

Generally, eyebrow tint lasts the entire length of your hair growth, which can be anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks on the hair, while on the skin, it may last up to 1 to 2 weeks. However, it's important to note that these are approximate durations and can vary from person to person.

How long between brow appointments should I wait to rebook?

The frequency of brow tinting, lamination, or henna brows depends on several factors, including individual hair growth and personal preferences. However, as a general guideline:

Brow tinting: The effects of brow tinting typically last around 2 to 4 weeks. You can consider scheduling a touch-up or re-tinting appointment every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain the desired colour and intensity.

Brow lamination: The results of brow lamination can last for about 6 to 8 weeks. It is recommended to schedule a touch-up or repeat the lamination process every 6 to 8 weeks to keep the brows in their desired shape and style.

Henna brows: Henna brows typically last longer compared to traditional brow tinting, with effects lasting around 4 to 6 weeks. To maintain the colour and definition, you may consider scheduling a touch-up or reapplication session every 4 to 6 weeks.

It's important to note that these timeframes are approximate and may vary depending on individual factors and aftercare. It's best to consult with a professional brow artist who can assess your specific needs and recommend the ideal frequency for your brow treatments.

What is the aftercare like?

To ensure the longevity and appearance of your eyelash extensions, it is important to follow proper aftercare. Here are some aftercare tips for your eyelash extensions:

  1. Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after the application to allow the adhesive to fully bond.
  2. Avoid touching or rubbing your lashes to prevent premature shedding.
  3. Use a gentle lash foam wash to cleanse your lashes daily. Its imperative you keep the eye area clean and free from dirts and oils.
  4. Brush your lashes daily using a clean mascara wand or a lash brush to keep them neat and separated.
  5. Avoid using mascara on your lash extensions, as it can clump the lashes together and make removal more difficult.
  6. If you need to remove eye makeup, use an oil-free makeup remover and be careful not to rub or tug at the lashes.
  7. Avoid sleeping on your stomach or with your face directly on the pillow to prevent your lashes from getting flattened or tangled.
  8. Be cautious when using saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pools, as excessive heat and moisture can weaken the adhesive bond.
  9. If you experience any irritation or discomfort, contact your lash technician immediately.

By following these aftercare tips, you can help maintain the health and longevity of your eyelash extensions, ensuring a beautiful and long-lasting result.

FAQ'S on Microblading

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a manual technique used to create semi-permanent eyebrow drawings that produce hyper-realistic results. It is an ideal option for anyone looking to enhance the appearance of their brows. The results consist of natural-looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of existing hair. The shape of the brows is calculated using the Golden Ratio (phi 1.618) and face morphology.

The colour is determined based on the natural colour of the eyebrows and the client's hair colour, whether aiming for a natural light finish or a bolder, more pronounced brow.

Using a manual hand tool, the brow artist etches a pattern of lines that mimic the individual's hair growth pattern while simultaneously implanting pigment.

This technique can fully restore sparse or missing brows.

This procedure is considered semi-permanent and typically lasts 1-2 years, depending on factors such as skin type, pigment retention, and proper aftercare. Microblading is known to be less invasive than the permanent method and produces eyebrows that rival the appearance of real ones.

Am I a good candidate for Microbladed brows?

Microblading doesn't suit all types of skin, such as:

•    Excessive oily skin
•    Acne prone skin
•    Dry, peeling skin (Eczema/Psoriasis on face)
•    Moles in the brow area
•    Keratosis (Growth of Keratin on the skin)
•    Broken capillaries
•    Troubles healing (Keloid scarring)

This procedure is not recommended for any clients who are or who have any of the following:

•    Pregnant or nursing
•    Diabetic
•    Undergoing Chemotherapy (Consult with you doctor)
•    Viral infections (diseases)
•    Had Botox within a 3 week period of appointment
•    Had an organ transplant
•    Epilepsy
•    Sick with a cold or flu-like virus
•    Used Accutane in the past year

How long does the treatment take?

Microblading, also known as Cosmetic ‘Tattooing’, is a 2-step process usually done 45–60 days apart (it is very important to complete 2 visits), and basic eyebrow fills take 2–2.5 hours. Extremely difficult procedures will likely take more time and be broken up into several appointments (scar camouflage, correction, etc.).

Please allow for at least 3 hours for you first appointment.
